The Belize High Commission would like to inform Belizeans that are planning on coming to the UK to capture their biometrics for machine-readable passports, please bear in mind that the UK Government has now introduced mandatory COVID-19 testing for international arrivals to England, including UK nationals, that will be effective from next week.
All passengers arriving from countries that are not on the UK Government’s corridor list are now required to present a negative COVID-19 test taken up to 72 hours prior to departure. They are still required to self-isolate for ten days, to fill in the passenger locator form, and are subject to national lockdown restrictions.
Passengers will be subject to an immediate fine of £500 if they fail to comply with the new regulations on pre-departure testing.
Passengers will also be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result before departing England as well as their passenger locator form.
